The Date 1

Peter's request for over a month has been to take me out on a date. My reply has always been NO.

But Ann thinks differently- he might be a good guy on dread, who drinks and smokes. But he is human, if you think he is a beast, you should be his beauty (her words).


But that might not be the reason behind rejecting his proposals.😣😣


Dinner was 7 pm @Micheal Garden Restaurant. I don't think l should go, but here l was searching for what to wear. It's less than an hour for the dinner and I'm overwhelmed? 


I hate being late so l wore my second option. I arrived at the restaurant, and there he was so cute in a blue suit and weaved dread.

 He got up with a smile and when l drew closer he gave me a big hug. You look beautiful he stuttered. I smiled but it was well planned, l needed him to have his eyes on me.

 I wore a red criss-cross double-slit gown, tight and above the knee just as he likes it. He has never seen me like this before, l know he is shocked to his bones and l was thrilled.

As soon as l sat, the waiter didn't let me breathe. She wore a smile and handed us a menu.

I wasn't hungry and didn't want to order anything expensive because l didn't want to hurt his pocket and heart in one night. So I went for Pizza and smoothie, while he ordered seafood and water.

You know that could be us he said starting at two love birds. He proposed and she said yes with tears. 

Yes, that could be us taking pictures of two love birds who will soon tie the knot.

Have you always been sarcastic?

I shrugged.

Speaking about us, what kind of man do you want to spend the rest of your life with?

Me: my dream man (I spent a few minutes, contemplating if l should be cold-hearted:  tell him he isn't my dream man or l give him the honor of figuring it out himself?)

My dream man should be open to unlearn and relearn

He smiled, l think he checked that

One who accepts my past, love my present, and inspires my future.

I think he checked that too

He must be cute

He gave a big smile, sure he is.

He must be spontan... (Peter interrupted)

(With a straight face) Spontaneous in what sex or life?

My Opinion on Public Wedding Proposals

 Some people got engaged before, during, and after valentine's Day. Some people proposed publicly and others in their houses. We get all emotional when we watch videos where she said yes l will marry you regardless of the location (lekki mall, Container Bistro, Michael Garden, etc)   I know you've watched that video where a girl was overexcited and she started screaming and couldn't control her joy. (It's funny to some people, it's spiritual to some but nobody insulted the guy for proposing in public). But when we watch a video where the reply is "embarrassing" especially if the proposal is public we blame the men, insult them, and ask questions like What happen to proposing at home? You should know what your girl likes, does she like it public or hidden? Etc No one asked these questions when the reply was positive WHY???
